Dressed to Impress - Beth Tweddle (December 2006)

Beth Tweddle asked Milano Pro-Sport to design a leotard for her to wear at the BBC Sports personality of the year awards. As the ceremony is a formal event Beth suggested something on the lines of a tuxedo. After researching various tuxedo designs the design team came up with something feminine but sporty with lots of sparkle, yet still within the confines of gymnastic competition wear. It was constructed using different fabrics to produce the layered look of a tuxedo and shirt, with great attention to detail. Even down to the cuff links on her wrists. Most of the work was hand done by the design team who had great fun creating and producing this one off special design to be worn by Beth during the live performance of her routine on the show.
