Izbasa Leads the Way (27th September, 2006)

The Romanian Nationals took place last weekend in Ploiesti. Sandra Izbasa won the individual competition with 61.750, Steliana Nistor (60.550) was second and Aluissa Lacusteanu (59.800) third. Izbasa also dominated the individual evens, winning vault, beam and floor with Nistor winning bars.

The team for the upcoming Worlds will be Sandra Izbasa, Steliana Nistor, Daniela Druncean, Loredana Sucar, Elena Chiric and Floarea Leonida.

The men's competition was won by Razvan Selariu. Flavius Koczi was second and Dan Potra was third. Dragulescu had a bad ear infection and didn't compete. Selariu also won floor and rings, Koczi won pommel horse, vault and high bar and Cosmin Popescu won bars.
