Gogean To Become A Mrs (7th
June, 2006)
Libertatea
reports that former World and Olympic Champion Gina Gogean,
who lives together with Cristi Groza, will marry this summer.
Gina and Cristi run a snail farm, the first one in Romania,
and have many clients in France and Italy, the countries where
'escargots' are hot on the menu.
If
the weather doesn't post any problems, the two make around
8000 euro a year but if it's cold, it effects the production
and they have less profits, around 5000 euro. Up until now,
in the three years that they have been running this farm,
they have had an average of 7000 euro per year and both of
them are happy with the investment.
Gina
and Cristi have been together since the end of 1999, when
they got to know each other on the school grounds of the sports
school in Deva, where Cristi did his final exam that year.
'I was always watching Gina when she came from the training
with her team mates. We fell in love quite quickly and we
are very happy together. This year, on the first of July,
we will have a wedding in Hunedoara,' said Cristi.
The
restaurant 'Rustic' in Hunedoara is where the wedding will
take place and the religious part of the wedding will be in
a church in Deva. 'The distance between the two places isn't
that big so it won't post a problem,' said Gina. Godparents
are Belu and Bitang. (They always have godparents at weddings
in Romania, they are there to give advice in the first year
of the marriage).
Of
course Lavinia Milosovici, Simona Amanar, Maria Olaru and
Andreea Raducan are amongst the guests and have already confirmed
they are attending. Gina said, 'We have also invited the girls
who live abroad now, Cristina Bontas and Vanda Hadarean. They
told me that they would do everything possible to be there.'
Aswell as running the snail farm, Gina is also a judge - this
bride to be is a very busy woman!
