Irish Team Championships (20th April, 2006)

The teams that will compete for the Irish Team Championships title have been named. The event will be held this weekend in Dublin. The Salto team boasts strong competitors from the recent World Championships and Commonwealth Games in the form of Katie Slader and Matthew Cosgrave. Katie finished 12th in the all-around event at the Games last month, while Matthew competed a watered down rings after having picked up an injury the night before competition began.

Rathgael Gymnastics Club have a great team of talent who will be out to gain vital experience. The young team are progressing very quickly with ex-Commonwealth Games gymnasts Clare Taylor and Kim Kensitt being the driving force behind a structured coaching regime which has accumulated in some impressive developments and results for the club. Backflip will bring the full results at the conclusion of the event.
