Double
Slovenian Success (31st October, 2005)
Slovenian
gymnasts Mitja Petkovsek and Aljaz Pegan won gold on parallel
bars and high bar at the Salamunov Memorial in Maribor, Slovenia.
Marian Dragulescu won the men's vault and fellow Romanian
team mate Catalina Ponor won gold on beam. There was success
for the Dutch with Suzanne Harmes winning gold on floor.
The
Brit pack are continuing their recent success on the World
Cup circuit with Melanie Roberts picking up a bronze on floor
and placing fifth in the beam final. The British are looking
determined and well prepared for the upcoming Worlds and received
a well deserved confidence boost last week in Glasgow having
won a total of six medals, making it their most successful
Grand Prix event ever!
