Czech Mates Achieve Gold in Slovenia (31st October, 2005)

Only two days after the Grand Prix in Glasgow and one week after the DTB Cup in Stuttgart, is the third event of the FIG World Cup circuit, the 38th Salamunov Memorial held in the Slovanian city of Maribor.

The Czech women reigned supreme on vault and bars with two time Olympian Jana Komrskova taking gold on vault and teammate Jana Sikulova winning gold on bars. European rings champion Yuri Van Gelder from the Netherlands continued his success in Glasgow by picking up another gold on rings.
