Impressive Field Confirmed for Stuttgart

The start list for the DTB World Cup event in Stuttgart (21-23 Oct) boasts an impressive star studded field which includes Athens sensation Catalina Ponor (ROM). Australia are also sending their top stars from their recently announced World Championships team which includes Philippe Rizzo, Sam Offord, Monette Russo and Karen Nguyen.

The Brazilian team includes Daiane dos Santos who at the 2003 World Championships in Anaheim, made history for Brazil by winning her country's first gold medal. Also competing for Brazil are Diego and Daniele Hypolito and Mosiah Rodrigues.

The Great Britain team are sending 2004 Junior European Pommels champion Louis Smith, the experienced David Eaton and British Championships bronze medallist and World’s hopeful Imogen Cairns.

Marine Debauve, who at the 2005 Europeans in Hungary became the first French woman to win a senior all around title is also set to compete. Veteran Oksana Chussovitina (UZB) will also be one of a few gymnasts competing at the event before travelling to Glasgow for the Grand Prix (25 & 26 Oct).
